Mineral Land Reserve
(New Prosperity) Regulation

Definitions

1   In this regulation:

"Act" means the Mineral Tenure Act;

"affected claim" means a claim in the reserve;

"affected lease" means a lease in the reserve;

"land" includes foreshore and land covered by water;

"reserve" means the mineral reserve established under section 2;

"reserve period" means the period beginning on the date this regulation comes into force and ending on March 31, 2026;

"site number" means the site number given in the registry to a particular area of land shown on an electronic map in the registry.

Reserve established

2   A mineral reserve for all minerals and placer minerals is established for the reserve period over the area identified by site number 1007089 and the site name New Prosperity Mineral Titles No. 4.

No mining activity in reserve

3   A free miner must not carry out mining activity in the reserve.

Refund

4   A refund of the following amounts may be made to Taseko Mines Limited:

(a) $406 405.55 paid under section 29 (a) of the Act in 2024 in relation to the affected claims;

(b) $68 580.00 paid under section 50 (1) of the Act in 2024 in relation to the affected lease.
