For information only: Made by the Alberta Energy Regulator on March 13, 2025 pursuant to section 73 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Act. 1 The Oil and Gas Conservation Rules (AR 151/71) are amended by this Regulation. 2 Section 16.510 is repealed and the following is substituted: 16.510 In this Part, "facility" means facility as defined in Part 11 of the Act. 3 Section 16.520 is amended by striking out "All facilities, wells and unreclaimed sites" and substituting "All facilities and wells". 4 Section 16.521 is repealed. 5 Section 16.530(1) is repealed and the following is substituted: 16.530(1) For the 2025-2026 fiscal year of the Regulator, the orphan fund levy payable by a licensee or approval holder is calculated in accordance with the following formula: Levy = A x $144 450 000 B where A is the sum of the licensee's or approval holder's estimated liability on March 27, 2025, as determined by the Regulator in accordance with Directive 011, for each type of licence and approval in Appendix 1 of Directive 011 that is included in the calculation of the orphan fund levy, and B is the sum of the industry's estimated liability on March 27, 2025, as determined by the Regulator in accordance with Directive 011, for each type of licence and approval in Appendix 1 of Directive 011 that is included in the calculation of the orphan fund levy. 6 Section 16.531 is repealed.
