For information only: Made by the Minister of Transportation (M.O. 30/22) on July 13, 2022 pursuant to sections 30 and 31 of the Railway (Alberta) Act. 1 The Heritage Railway Regulation (AR 352/2009) is amended by this Regulation. 2 The following is added after section 2: Maximum speed 2.1 A heritage railway operator shall ensure that the rolling stock of the railway is not operated at a speed exceeding 16 km/h. 3 Sections 4, 5, 7 and 9 to 11 are repealed. 4 Section 15 is amended by striking out "June 30, 2023" and substituting "December 31, 2027". 5 Schedules 1 and 2 are repealed. 6 Schedule 3 is amended in rule 2.1 (a) by repealing clause (e) and substituting the following: (e) "Department" means the Minister's Department; (b) in clause (k) by striking out "General Order No. O-10, Regulations Respecting Railway Safety Appliance Standards" and substituting "the Railway Safety Appliance Standards Regulations (Canada), (CRC, c. 1171)". 7 Schedule 4 is repealed. 8 Schedule 5 is amended in rule 2.1 (a) by repealing clause (g) and substituting the following: (g) "Department" means the Minister's Department; (b) by repealing clause (m). 9 Schedules 6 to 8 are repealed. 10 Sections 2, 3 and 5 to 9 come into force on the coming into force of section 13 of the Red Tape Reduction Statutes Amendment Act, 2022.
