Petition to the House of Commons
  Whereas:
  
    Hockey is our national sport;
    Hockey is watched by thousands of people; and
    Hockey is played by thousands of people, particularly young people.
  
  
    We, the undersigned, Citizens and residents of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to ensure that the Criminal Code is enforced whenever violent or barbaric acts are committed against an opponent with the intention of causing injury.
