Reg. 525/91 (MONUMENTS) 1. (1) Subsection 1 (1) of Ontario Regulation 525/91 is amended by adding the following definition: “competent authority” means any governmental authority in existence before or after the creation of the Province of Ontario under whose instructions Crown land in Ontario has been or may be surveyed, or the owner of a tract of land that was not included in a township at the time the tract was granted by the Crown under whose instructions the first survey of the boundaries or interior of the tract has been made; (2) Subsection 1 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “mentioned” and substituting “listed”. 2. Subsection 2 (8) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “the identification cap” and substituting “at least the underside of the identification cap”. 3. (1) Subsection 8 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “described” and substituting “listed”. (2) Subsection 8 (3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “described under” and substituting “listed in”. 4. Section 10 of the Regulation is amended by adding “listed in subsection 2 (1)” after “monument”. 5. Subsection 11 (4) of the Regulation is amended by adding “or impractical” after “impossible”. Commencement 6. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
