Petition to the House of Commons
  Whereas:

    Country of origin labels are only required on some food products sold in Canada;
    These labels are frequently in such fine print that shoppers trying to buy Canadian products have to devote considerable time to tracking down the labels to read them; and
    That information is often not included at all in the representation of these products online.

    We, the undersigned, citizens of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to mandate highly visible "Product of (country of origin)" labels on all food products being sold in Canada. These labels should be uniform in design for ease of understanding and should be included not just on the front of physical packaging but also on their advertisements and online representations.
