Reg. 340/94 (DRIVERS’ LICENCES) 1. (1) Section 35 of Ontario Regulation 340/94 is revoked and the following substituted: 35. (1) Despite anything in this Regulation, the following driver’s licences, including any licence bearing an air brake endorsement, are deemed to be valid until the date set out in subsection (2): 1. A driver’s licence, including a combined photo card issued under the Photo Card Act, 2008, whose term of validity was extended by subsection 1 (1) or 2 (3) of Ontario Regulation 45/20 (Extending Time Periods in Ontario Regulations) made under the Act. 2. A driver’s licence, including a combined photo card issued under the Photo Card Act, 2008, whose term of validity was continued by subsection 1 (2) or 2 (4) of Ontario Regulation 45/20 (Extending Time Periods in Ontario Regulations). 3. A driver’s licence, including a combined photo card issued under the Photo Card Act, 2008, whose term of validity expires on or after September 1, 2021. (2) For the purposes of subsection (1), the term of validity of a driver’s licence referred to in that subsection is extended to the following dates: 1. Until February 28, 2022, in respect of a holder of a Class A, B, C, D, E, F, G or M driver’s licence that expires before March 1, 2022. 2. Until December 31, 2022, in respect of a holder of a Class G1, G2, M1 or M2 driver’s licence that expires before January 1, 2023. (3) Subsections (1) and (2) do not apply to renew or continue the term of validity of a driver’s licence that has been suspended or cancelled. (4) Despite subsection 12.1 (4), if the one-year period set out in that subsection expires on or after March 1, 2020 but before March 1, 2022, the time for fulfilling the requirements set out in that subsection is extended to February 28, 2022. (5) Despite subsection 24 (2), a temporary licence issued under that subsection that expires on or after March 1, 2020 but before December 31, 2021 is deemed to be valid until June 30, 2022. (2) Section 35 of the Regulation, as remade by subsection (1), is revoked. Commencement 2. (1) Subject to subsection (2), this Regulation comes into force on the later of September 1, 2021 and the day it is filed. (2) Subsection 1 (2) comes into force on January 1, 2023.   Français
