Public Accounts Committee
Strategic Review of the Queensland Audit Office
— Call for Written Submissions — The Public Accounts Committee is an all-party Committee of the Queensland Parliament that scrutinises the financial administration of the Queensland public sector. The Committee is currently considering the findings and recommendations of the Report of the Strategic Review of the Queensland Audit Office. This Report was tabled in the Queensland Legislative Assembly on 7 October 1997.
The following Terms of Reference have been determined by the Committee:
• to evaluate the recommendations made in terms of their suitability for implementation; and
• to comment on other findings of the Review where appropriate.
Written Submissions: The Committee is seeking public comment on the recommendations made. Interested parties are invited to make written submissions and an Issues Paper has been developed to assist in this process. The Issues Paper can be obtained by telephoning (07) 3406 7576. Submissions should be sent to: The Chairman, Public Accounts Committee, Parliament House, George St, BRISBANE, QLD 4000 or faxed to (07) 3406 7500. The closing date for all submissions is 27 February 1998.
