STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS NO. 42 of 2021
ORDER
MADE by the Law Revision Commission under section 21(2) of the Law Revision Act, Chap. 3:02.
(Gazetted 28th October, 2021.)
1. (1) This Order may be cited as the–
LAW REVISION (CORRECTION) ORDER, 2021.
(2) This Order shall be deemed to have come into operation on the prescribed date.
2. In this Order, “prescribed date” means the 1st day of March, 2021 fixed by section 2 of the Law Revision (Inclusion of Authorised Pages)(Prescribed Date) Order, 2021.
3. The legislative provisions in the Laws specified in the First Column of the Schedule are amended in the manner specified in the Second Column.

FIRST COLUMN SECOND COLUMN
Peace Preservation Act Chap. 15:04 Under “Commencement” substitute the words Commencement “25 January 1895”
Social Security (Benefit) Regulations Chap. 31:01 Citations Insert after the citation of “S.R.O. 3 of 2012” the
citation “48 of 2016”
regulation 2 In the definition of “weekly insurable earnings” –
(a) in paragraph (i) delete the words appearing after the words “not exceeding” and substitute therefor the words “one thousand six hundred and seventeen dollars per week, or;”
(b) in paragraph (ii) delete the words appearing after the words “not exceeding” and substitute therefor the words “seven thousand dollars per month.”.
regulation 6 (a) Renumber the regulation as subregulation (1) and insert in paragraph (b) the word “not” before the word “less”; and
(b) Insert the following as subregulation (2):
“(2) Where the insured person is self- employed, sickness benefit shall be payable only if he or she –
(a) had been insured for not less than fifty- two contribution weeks;
(b) has paid or has credited to his or her account not less than two quarters contributions in the period of three consecutive quarters immediately preceding the contribution quarter in which incapacity commenced, provided that the said two quarters contributions have been so paid or credited after the coming into effect of this regulation; and

(c) has paid the contribution for the quarter immediately preceding the quarter in which incapacity commenced.”.
regulation 11 In subregulation (1) delete the word “not” from the words “had not been”
regulation 30 (a) Substitute for subregulation (4) the following:
“(4) Notwithstanding subregulation (1) and subject to subregulation (5)–
(a) with effect from the 1st day of March, 2016, the minimum rate of pension payable to persons under regulations 22 and 29 is fifty dollars weekly;
(b) with effect from the 1st day of September, 2016, the minimum rate of pension payable under regulation 29 is seventy-five dollars weekly.”.
(b) Insert the following new subregulation as subregulation (5):
“(5) Subregulation (4) does not apply to the determination of a reduced age benefit for the purposes of section 27A of the Act.”.
Registration of Births and Deaths Act Chap. 35:30 section 7 In the shoulder note for the word “Depuy”
substitute the word “Deputy”
Port Authority Regulations Chap. 50:01 Paragraph 6 of
the Fourth Schedule Delete the figure “$30.00” and substitute therefor the figure “$75.00”
