Travel delays on southwest Anthony Henday
2022-07-28

Starting Aug. 4, the North Saskatchewan westbound bridge will be closed between 8 p.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Monday each week, for the next four to six weeks, depending on weather conditions.

The expansion project is widening the route from four to six lanes and this stage will have crews adding an extra lane in each direction on the bridge, resulting in the closures.

Traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction on the eastbound bridge.

Oversized and overweight loads will not be permitted at any time during this project between Aug. 4 and Sept. 12.

Additional information

  • Motorists are encouraged to use Whitemud Drive as an alternate route.
  • Speed limits will be reduced to 60 km/hr at the bridge.
  • Keep up to date on this and other highway projects at 511 Alberta.
