Public Advisory: Emergency Services Available for Individuals Stranded due to Closure of Bay d’Espoir Highway

The Canadian Red Cross and Salvation Army will deliver emergency services for individuals who are stranded on the Trans-Canada Highway due to the closure of the Bay d’Espoir Highway.

The Canadian Red Cross is coordinating emergency lodging for individuals who live in the areas affected by the Bay d’Espoir Highway closure. A congregate shelter has been set up at the Salvation Army Citadel, 33 Circular Road, Grand Falls-Windsor. Individuals can access the shelter at any time after 6:00 p.m. today (Friday, August 5).
