NIAGARA – Team New Brunswick enters the second week of competition at the 2022 Canada Summer Games in Niagara with 10 medals.

The first week of competition wrapped up Saturday with a fourth-place finish in women’s beach volleyball. Men’s basketball lost to Quebec 90-57 to claim sixth place while the women’s placed seventh with an 86-63 over Manitoba. Tennis defeated Newfoundland and Labrador 4-2 to also finish seventh.

Sunday is turnaround day: week one participants head home to New Brunswick and week two athletes arrive in Niagara in the afternoon.

Second-week competition will consist of athletics, men’s box lacrosse, canoe kayak, road cycling, golf, rowing, sailing, women’s soccer, men’s softball and men’s and women’s volleyball.
