CANNABIS (PRESCRIBED THINGS) REGULATION
For information only: Made by the Board of the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and
Cannabis Commission on July 14, 2022 pursuant to sections 130(d) and (e) of the
Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Act.
Prescribed things
1 The following are prescribed things for the purposes of section
90.09(1)(b) of the Act that a cannabis licensee may sell:
(a) licensee-branded or premises-branded apparel;
(b) licensee-branded items, including but not limited to water
bottles, insulated mugs or candles;
(c) cannabis-themed publications, including but not limited to
magazines, books or recipes;
(d) things used in the personal growing of cannabis, including
but not limited to lights, soil, plant pots and handheld
gardening tools.
Maximum annual sales
2 In addition to selling cannabis, a cannabis licensee may sell
cannabis accessories and prescribed things referred to in section 1 up
to a maximum of 15% of the total annual dollar value of all sales by
the licensee at the location to which the licensee's cannabis licence
relates.
Coming into force
3 This Regulation comes into force on September 1, 2022.
