Petition to the Government of Canada
  Whereas:

Banks can charge fees for insufficient funds. These fees make difficult financial times ever harder.
These fees are preying on single parents working multiple jobs, people who have lost their job, and anyone living with low-income or no income.
People who cannot afford a payment definitely can't afford a fee for insufficient funds.
Many Canadians are living paycheque-to-paycheque just to make ends meet. These fees add to their struggles and hinder their credit score.
It's ridiculous that people who can't afford to make a payment are also fined by their own bank institution for not being able to afford said payment.

We, the undersigned, Canadian citizens, call upon the government of Canada to create a law to prevent banks from charging fees for insufficient funds.
