A Bill for an Act to amend the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission Act 2011 to restore certain
examination powers of the Commission and for other purposes.
The Parliament of Victoria enacts: 1 Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to amend the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission Act 2011 to restore certain examination powers of the Commission. 5
2 Commencement This Act comes into operation on the day after the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

3 Principal Act In this Act, the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission Act 2011 is called the Principal Act.
4 Examinations generally to be held in private 5 (1) Section 117(1)(c) and (d) of the Principal Act are
repealed. (2) Section 117(3A)(a), (3B), (4) and (5A) of the
Principal Act are repealed. 5 Advance copy of report to the Parliament 10
Section 162A of the Principal Act is repealed. 6 Persons who receive reports or information prior to
publication (1) In section 166(1) of the Principal Act, omit "an
advance copy of a report under section 162A,". 15 (2) Section 166(2)(ca) of the Principal Act is
repealed. 7 Repeal of this Act
This Act is repealed on the first anniversary of the day on which it receives the Royal Assent. 20
Note
The repeal of this Act does not affect the continuing operation of the amendments made by it (see section 15(1) of the Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984).
