Coroners Service confirms identity of passenger

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after being involved in a motor vehicle incident near Williams Lake on Nov. 11, 2012.

The man is Carl Landen Siwallace, aged 21, who had most recently been staying in Williams Lake but previously resided in Port Alberni and Bella Coola.

Mr. Siwallace was one of five occupants of a truck which had been used for an off-road expedition. At about 1530 hours on Nov. 11, it was travelling northbound on Dog Creek Road when it went out of control and rolled over several times.

Emergency personnel attended the scene and Mr. Siwallace was transported to Cariboo Memorial Hospital but was unable to recover from his injuries.

The Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Siwallace has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.

The BC Coroners Service expresses its condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Siwallace.
