Letters patent of continuance

Pursuant to subsection 32(2) of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), notice is hereby given that CAA Insurance Company, an insurance company incorporated under the Corporations Act (Ontario), intends to make an application to the Minister of Finance for letters patent continuing the company under the Insurance Companies Act (Canada).

Any person who objects to the proposed continuation may submit an objection in writing to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2, on or before November 24, 2020.

Note: The publication of this notice should not be construed as evidence that letters patent will be issued. The granting of the letters patent will depend on the normal application review process under Part III of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) and on the discretion of the Minister of Finance.

Pursuant to section 651 of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) [the “Act”], notice is hereby given that Croatian Fraternal Union of America intends to apply to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada), on or after November 28, 2020, for an order authorizing the release of the assets that it maintains in Canada in accordance with the Act.
