Death At Regina Correctional Centre
Released on August 7, 2020
A male inmate on remand was declared deceased last night at the Regina Correctional Centre at approximately 7:20 pm.The inmate was found unresponsive in his cell.
The RCMP and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service have been notified and are investigating. The Ministry of Corrections and Policing will also be conducting an internal investigation.
This death is not related to COVID-19. Next of kin have been notified.
