Summary of Proposal:
While MTO continues to work with industry stakeholders toward long-term requirements, MTO is proposing to:
Extend the current exemption in place for mobile cranes and concrete pumps equipped with conventional truck axles from the requirement to display a yellow inspection sticker as required by Highway Traffic Act Section 85, from January 1, 2021 to July 1, 2021.
If approved, all mobile cranes and concrete pumps (equipped with conventional truck axles or planetary axles) will be required to undergo an annual inspection and display a valid inspection sticker by July 1, 2021.
