Summary of Proposal:
The proposed amendments to the three regulations would allow the Association to modernize activities by providing for:
1.A mandatory survey records index to allow for efficient research
2.improved standards for certain types of Survey Plans
3.amended code of ethics to ensure improved client communications
4.election of new councillors by electronic means
5.addition of an existing lay member to the Association's Executive Committee to enhance transparency and public protection
6.minor changes to language for clarification and consistency

Analysis of Regulatory Impact:
Minor administrative costs associated with the proposed regulation are a possibility. It is anticipated that these costs would be offset over time through savings to survey firms by enabling a more efficient research tool.
